Safe and clean on every pour

Pumping concrete is high-pressure work. Here's how we keep your site, and the environment around it, safe.

  • Certified operator: CCPO, the WorkSafeBC-approved certification for running a concrete pump in BC
  • Site walk-through before setup: truck position, line route, overhead lines and people
  • Line, couplings and clamps checked before every pour
  • Washout kept out of storm drains and waterways

Easier on your site

  • The line runs over the ground, so there's no machinery or wheelbarrow traffic tearing up lawns and gardens
  • A compact truck, and a line that fits through 5-inch gaps, means no removing fences, trees or landscaping to get access
  • Concrete goes exactly where it's needed, with less spillage and waste than barrowing
  • CCPO certifiedCertified Concrete Pump Operator, BC Construction Safety Alliance
  • WorkSafeBC registeredClearance letter available on request
  • $3 million liabilityCertificate of insurance on request

Common questions

What is a line pump, and when do I need one?

A line pump pushes concrete through a hose from the ready-mix truck to the pour. You need one when the truck's chute can't reach: backyards, basements, slopes, tight lots, or anywhere you'd otherwise be running wheelbarrows.

Do I need a pump for a driveway, patio or slab?

If the truck can back right up to the forms, maybe not. If it can't get within a few feet, or the ground is soft, sloped or landscaped, a line pump is usually faster and cheaper than barrowing, and it saves your lawn.

How much room does the pump truck need?

About 9 ft of width to get in and park. The line itself fits through gaps as small as 5 inches, so it can go through side gates, around houses and down stairs.

How far can you pump?

We carry 500+ ft of line on the truck at all times. Longer runs are possible with a heads-up when you book.

What concrete should I order?

Ask your ready-mix supplier for a pump mix and tell them it's being line-pumped. We work with all local suppliers and coordinate the timing with them.

Where does the pump get washed out?

On site if there's a suitable spot, which saves you a washout fee. If not, we arrange it with your ready-mix supplier.

Do you work on the Gulf Islands?

Yes. We pump on Salt Spring, Pender and the other Southern Gulf Islands. Ferry fares are added to the quote.

How much notice do you need?

Short notice is fine. If we're free, we'll be there. Booking a few days ahead gets you the time you want.

How is pricing worked out?

Your price is based on pump time, the volume pumped, line length and travel from Langford. Send the details through the quote form or call, and we'll send a written estimate with your booking confirmation. No hidden fees: anything extra, like an off-site washout, is listed on your estimate before the pour. First-time customers get 25% off.

How do I pay?

Interac e-Transfer, credit or debit card, cash, cheque or bank draft. Bitcoin by arrangement. Payment is due when the pour is done; contractor accounts get 30 days.
